Do I need a new pulley kit?

I got me a new dynamo and the pulley on this one is alot wider and got these thin tracks in it , just like the FD dynamos using these wide belts : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...Q5fAccessories

Its not gonna work with the belt i got now, i know since it just burned up.
My question is: Do i need a new pulley kit or are there thinner belts with the same thin tracks (obviously fewer tracks)in it wich will be compatible with my original eccentric and fan pulley?

You can't match a v-belt pulley (like your stock parts) with a flat ribbed belt pulley...something has to give.
Can you just replace the pulley on your new alternator with the one from the old unit?
