do i have a s4 or s5 throttle body?

I'm wanting to do a s5 throttle body swap on my s4 turbo2. How can I physically tell the difference between the 2? Trying to make sure I don't have a s5 Tb already.

The S5 has two pistons and they are part of one unit. Using the advanced search feature on this site would provide you with pics of this sensor. And a new S5 TPS costs around $300-400 thus it would be more cost efficient to purchase a used one from the classified section for pennies on the dollar.

most cost effective thing to do would be to just leave it alone, there is no benefit to the throttle body swap

listen to God dude..he is talkin through ROB!!!

(how ya gonna run a dual tps setup on a harness that only supports one?.)

the Throttlebody is basically the same except for TPS so you are accomplishing nothing really.

I got a Haltech PS1000 and actually Ran an S4 TPS ..
you honestly don't need dual range Tps for the Haltech,(so never thought of an s5 TB)
I eventually changed to an FD TPS and FD upper...

N/a throttle bodies are different than turbo. If you try to install an n/a throttle body on a T2 upper, both tps and throttle cable would be on opposite sides.

Also, i believe the second tps on the S5 is for the OMP so you wouldnt need it since S4 OMP is mechanical. With that said, if you swap out throttle bodies, unless youre premixing, you would need to find a way to run the mechanical OMP with the s5 TB.

I was told the reason a s5 tps is better cuz that when the s4 throttle is only 1/3 of the way pressed down it was reading at WOT?

Are you going to be ditching the OMP?
Just because its an s5 doesnt mean it offers any benefit, there is no improvement to be found

the S4 only uses the TPS to see idle (0 throttle), and run the emissions, so it reads 100% at about 30% throttle openings.

the haltech only uses the TPS for what you tell it to, but usually zero throttle for decel fuel cut, and the accelerator pump settings, which are all done by 30% throttle anyways. its nice to have the full range for datalogging, but other than that the haltech doesn't need it
