Do the back glass hatches on S5's all weigh the same?

the one on my parts car seems lighter. when I pop the hatch it lifts up fine. the glass on my GXL feels heavier. when I pop the glass on it , it will not lift by itself.

It is not the shocks because I swapped them out with no difference.

the GXL glass had the wiper motor and wiper removed.

thinking about swapping but the tint will not match.

Ice-any idea how much more? I take it is heavier for structural support due to the wiper & motor..

I know it made a difference in the hatch being able to open or not open by itself.

Its only a matter of lbs. The middle section of the glass is slightly thicker. The metal is the same either way.

Check the hinges and seal. They may both be dirty and causing the problem.

I have had a problem ever since I got the car that when I shut it I must put a lot of pressure on both latches in order to get the hatch to lock shut.

It is a major pain. Can I raise the hatch locks up some to make it close without going thru all this hassle and still create a good seal with the weatherstrip?

I am going to check it out tommorrow as well as the hinges.

The rear tint matches the side tint and I really dont want to swap glass just for the weight difference so I am looking to correct it elsewhere. may have to buy new shocks for hatch.

also when I pop the hatch and then shut the side door the hatch pops up just enough to get my fingers under it to manually open it.

thanks
