I'm sure it would look odd if you don't tint your side windows.. I plan on tinting mine that dark to preserve my nearly mint interior..

it would also look weird if i had dark tints on the hatch and light tints on my side windows. i dont want to get dark tints on the side window because my bro kept getting pulled over for his and he ended up riping them off.

I've got mine tinted at 30% back and sides and I think if you did 20-30% on the sides and 5% on the back that's look fine. If you did nothing to the sides it might look odd though.

i got mine done 5% in rear and 15% in front. thats 2 shades darker then legal. no cops really care. i think it looks alright. it definitly would be dumb with just the rear tinted though. legal here is 35% in front and 25% in back.

You have to weigh in how much legality you want with the tint you want.. Personally, I'm going to go with 15% all around so it matchs as soon as my car emerges from my garage for the first time in months, that would be sufficient, and you shouldn't have a hassle. If you're worried about cops at all, don't mod your car in anyway period..

I had my rear hatch tinted for a long time w/o the side windows being tinted b/c it is illegal to have any tint below the upper 2"-3" on the side windows here in MI.

My parts car from TN had tinted side windows, so I swapped them out and haven't been pulled over yet.

The car looked fine before and after the side windows were installed. It really depends on the color of the car and the interior color. If you have black or grey interior, it looks better when the side windows aren't tinted versus red or blue interior. IMO at least.

Here is what it looks like 6 years later:

I had just purchased the car. The tint film had bubbled & delaminated.
It took over 4 hours to remove it.

reflective titanium tint.. or some **** like that, you can see out just fine, but under sunlight or bright lamp light it becomes highly reflective

window tinting is cheep to have done and cheeper to do yourself. be carfull either way. it iw worth it tho. looks cool, and it will drop the temp inside your car and save tyhe plastic on the interior.
