Do any stock vechicles' turbos work well for our 7s?

I was just going to suggest that. On the 7mgte the stock ct26 can hit over 250rwhp,the 60-1 upgrade can see over 300rwhp. Also,if you can get the proper flange to mount it,http://www.sound-performance.com/ makes some nice bolt on upgraded turbos.

On a side note, mine had a K&N,3" dp,and stock exhaust, the previous owner ran constant high 14's(automatic). I dropped the stock exhaust and put on a test pipe, then shimmed the WG to about 12-13psi and it really came to live. Sadly I was never able to bring it to the track. :/

Why take a step "down" to a smaller turbo? Just use a stock TII turbo. Most piston-engine turbos are waaay too small for a rotary application. They'll give you great low end I'm sure, but I would imagine most would fall on their face on the high end.

If the CT26 can put out 250 rwhp on a piston engine, it would only be able to put out ~200-220 rwhp on a rotary due to the rotary's inefficiencies...the stock TII turbo is good for ~250+ and still spools like crazy...why use a smaller turbo?

Any if not ALL turbos for passenger cars found in junk yards will be way way too small for a rotary. You'll be hard pressed to find a turbo larger and better suited for a 13b other then the stockers unless you get one from a LARGE diesel engine. Thunderbirds, grand nationals, MAZDA MX6, Silvias, 3000gts, supras all are SMALLER THEN THE STOCK ONE. There is absolutely NO reason to go smaller. If you want quicker spool up build a hybrid and use a LARGE exhaust (like 3.5") and it'll spool so quick that you'll be in boost 60% of the time just cruising and still have a bigger top end then stock.

o thankls btw. you should talk to the ssautochrome guy, hes a member on our forum.

i would also like to say some may find the front page to that sight innapropriate. you knwo what i say? what is appropriate now adays? tiffany teen thinks so.

plus i got a guy in okinowa japan thats selling some ****. he says a custom manifold and a wastegate is gonna go for 250 bones. so i dont know. i think you should talk to him. his name is junkyardracer.

the reason why junkyard buildds are so popular is because:
1) junkyard turbos are cheap
2) you can destroy them and not even car since it cost you less than 25 bucks.
3) the urge to seee what it will do exactly.

this has way more benefits than specilation this, efficiency that. obviously he doesnt car if it will work or not, he just wants to see what would be ome good options to chose from. if i was you, i would find the trucks around there.

Putting turbos on cars that weren't meant to have them and watching the chaos is a twisted form of entertainment but I've enjoyed it myself. A buddy put a turbo on his NA 90-ish MX-6 and boosted the hell out of it until the tranny wouldn't go into gear anymore.

yeah. thats whats soo fun about it. if your gonna baby your car to death and just drive it around, then thats no fun. actually seeing the limits is the joys of a real car enthisiest. i wont be satisfied untill my tranny dies aswell. then i will know god will like me.

If were talking about using two smaller turbos, why not jsut use two stock TII turbo's? With a compressor upgrade they could be pusing over 600hp right?
