who looks at their revs anyways? i shift when i feel the power dropping off...usually ends up being around 6500. you dont need to run it to redline....the power up there is so little its useless

you should just leave it, it warns you for other things beside that like low oil, coolent etc......

my old Integra's door buzzer went haywire and would go off at random. I got used to it, but people who rode in the car always went "I think you car is going to explode" and I'd just say "nah it's cool." Whichever jackass owned my vert before me disabled the redline buzzer, because it doesn't go off at all.

Another friend who had an FC had bad U-joints so his car would go "Th-THUNK!!!" whenever he shifted, freaked me out bad first time I rode in it but he was like, "Yeah I don't even notice anymore..." He traded it for a boat and then the guy who got it blew up the engine.
