Thumbs down diy fuel cut defencer

Today I was organizing my parts shelf and saw the fuel cut defencer that came on my girlfriends t2. I forgot to post the pictures!

It may or may not work, but it sure isn't pretty. The outer shell of the unit was just plastic bent over and melted together, providing an awesome watertight seal. (lots of sarcasm) I have no idea what the previous owner was thinking.

I ended up giving her my fcd since mine is not needed with the powerFC. Maybe she will get a boost controller in the future and set it to stock boost limits in the summer and low boost for winter.

Anyways...

it looks to be about the same quality as the name brand units. your point?

it actually looks quite decent for a "DIY" unit, if it works as it is supposed to that is. just the casing kind of sucks but even the namebrand ones are hardly watertight, just look more professional.

Friend and I got together a few years ago and built a few prototypes that we might sell if there is enough need.

Just need to source the connectors.

@-RotorDemon- Awesome job! It looks very professional.

shouldn't mod a T2 unless you can afford a haltech. FCD=trash

the very least thing you could do is drop $100 on a rtek and know your engine will last.

A fuel cut defender is a retarded idea in and of itself. If you have a real tuning solution none is needed. If you don't then your trying to extract more power than you really should. Fuel cut is there for a reason.

Best solution = standalone.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with that FCD up top. They could have used a better casing... Just because it's not integrated into a fancy little circuit board, doesn't mean it is a piece of ****. Those FCDs that -RotorDemon- made look pretty nice. There's not much of a demand for them, though.
