Vert top leaking

I have the usual small tears around the drian pouches and plan to replace the top when time permits. Until then (other than a car cover) has anyone accomplished reliable fix that doesn't look ridiculous?

I do not have a convertible, nor do I have any experience with them... But I would think that some sort of black silicone or a temporary patch (Maybe some black waterproof canvas.) wouldn't look too ridiculous.

they leak, some more then others.

keep the drains clean, adjust how the window seats up against the top. I found that it would seat better if you rolled the window up after the door was closed- but that's obviously not always possible but I used to do that to my drivers side because it leaked more, I would roll it up from the passenger side door.

If you pay attention to how your applying it to fill the gap, it works well if the hole is small. If big, so a lot of silicone needed, the silicone will crack when ever you open and close the top. So you'll need to remember to patch the patch if that happens.

My convertible top leaked in the rear drain area and the front window seal to the "A" pillar on both sides. Since I had three verts I was able to compare how the windows fit correctly in the rubber weather strips. I saw that the top weatherstrip should slightly overlap the glass when the door shuts. Mine was sitting too low and was catching the glass and sitting inside rather than on top and over. this caused the window to leak. After I took it apart and pushed it ( the weatherstrip) up a little the glass was sealing well again. Next I cleaned the rubber around the "A" Pillar and used some vaseline to coat one side of the doorseal and "flowable silicone" to fill any other water pathways that where leaking at the a pillar. When this dried it filled the leak paths and did not stick to both sides thanks to the vaseline. The rear ripped area was the hardest area to work on. I agree you need to keep the drains clean. I tried some gorilla duct tape on both sides ..but this did not last. later I added some waterproof adhesiveto keep it in place. Eventually I replaced the top and now have a very dry interior.
