DIY Afterburner!?

ok. this is going to sound stupid. and it probably wont work. and your probably going to make me tear a little, but im going to give it a try.

I sit in my garage, and I see my charcoal cannister. it looks dumb.
as I understand, the charcoal cannister stores fuel fumes, then releases them into the intake manifolds as yoou start back up.

heres waht I want to do in case you havnt guessed..
im guessing there is some mild pressure involved in this whole thing, enough to put it down a hose at least and through a nozzle...

I want to run the hose from the tank, to a control and safety valve in the cabin, then down to some sort of fogger in the tail pipe, released at WOT.

is it going to work team? am I asking for an early death?

the vapors are sent back to the tank not the intake IIRC........and why on earth would you want to do this?? I mean, do you REALLY think it's a good idea?? lol...........wtf is the world coming to???????

it would be a neat idea to have the fumes burn off in your exhaust than rather have a strong gas smell with the charcoal canister removed.. but it seems like way too much work than just keeping the canister.
one idea is that you can do is hook it up to the air line that runs to your cats, or if your aftermarket exhaust system still has the hook up, I know mine does.
but I'd be worried it would cause a fire or some sorts. remember with that you would be basically hooking up your gas tank to your exhaust.

****... Why not just install some foggers and plumb the rear wiper bottle to it? That oughta make for an impressive show!

If your point is to shoot flames, why not do it the old fashion way instead of fooling with the fuel system. That is just a dumb way to get yourself on fire. Hell, these days they even sell kits to spark up your rich exhuast to shoot flames.

I say it's more trouble then it is worth. It doesnt really have THAT much fuel stored in it.

We're done here...

For the record, the evaporative emissions control vents into the crankcase, which is then sucked into the intake via the purge valve.
