Ditching my V8. Need a TII motor again.

Ok, now that I've done it, and proven that it works, I want to get the LS1 out of my '87 TII and go back to the rotary in that car. The V8 just sucks to damn much gas in town for me. I think I've located an FD to put it in. It'll just be a race car. But I need the TII back to stock for a daily driver.

I need to locate a motor. Which years besides the '87 can I use?

Any year (87-91) can be used with the following Caveats:

S5 Engines will have to have the front cover changed to have the Mechanical OMP.

You need to match the correct Impedence Injectors to the ECU series you have in the car.

Your Flywheel /Counterweight must be matched to the Series S4/S5 engine you have

Glad to have you back on the darkside,. John

would you be willing to take a S4 TII engine and trade for the whole V8 setup? I would of course throw some money in to compensate. If so how much woul dyou like for the whole setup? Thanks

I have to keep the V8 parts for the FD my wifes looking at. She loves my car, and wants to have an FD with the same kind of torque.

The LS1 combined with the 4.10 gear is uncool. The rotary and 5 speed are much better on gas. I'll miss the power though. Kinda like going from a Viper to a Civic.

you guys are tards! Who'd bother dumping a v8 into a TII, doing a good job of it, and then take it out and put the TII motor back in?

a turbo rotary? for fuel economy? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA

and buying an FD to put the v8 in? Does that make any sense to anyone? Really?

People, give your head a shake.

Someone mentioned swapping a V8 into an FD

One of my life goals, other than building a 13B powered two seat homebuilt airplane, is to swap a V8 into a salvaged FD with a blown engine or engine fire. That or a 20B, whatever seems the most feasable at the time.
