Distribtor On A 13 B Engine
I think I saw a photo in the book Mazda RX& preformance handbook
it on page 94 it look like the crank angle sensor was replaced with a dist. what brand of dist is this and who has more technical data on how to change this?

Yes, I am pretty sure that the gsl-se's have distributors. Also, I think some early foreign (european) FC's had dizzys as well.
As for changing it, don't. There is no possible reason to change from the stock coil-igniter system to a dizzy. The stock FC ignition system is excellent and can support 400+ hp, and 600+ with an MSD type box.

FCs with the thermal reactor style exhaust (Europe, Mid East, etc.) ran a dizzy.
All rotary prior to '86 ran a dizzy.
It may have been one of those engines, replaced due to carb conversion, replaced so timing could be locked, etc.
There's no reason for you to change to a dizzy.
