Disabling 3000 RPM start up.. Worth it?
OK.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the sole purpose of the 300 RPM start up just to warm up the catalytic converters?? So many of us are running w/o cats. Is this warm up stage neccessary, does it help the engine in any way (or hurt it for that matter)? I dont see any danger in disabling it...

yes get rid of it. reving the engine to 3k when dead cold is a killer. I just start mine in any gear which also prevents it since I don't know where the wires are. 89+ don't have them on the bottom of the rad.

I wanna do this on my car. I have no precats, but I do have a high-flow main cat. If I disable this will it harm my main cat at all? I don't think it would, but want opinions. I just hate cranking my car up and having it rev to 3000.

you won't harm anything by doing it. you will make it better. you just might put out a bit more emissions while it warms up. if you just start it in gear it doesn't do it either.
my other question is there any way to adj the rpm?? cause mine revs to 4k if I start it in "N" and even in gear revs to 3k for a sec before dropping to 1.5k....
