In Dire Need Of HELP! (Altenator belt)
[SIZE=2]Alright while I was driving my 88 Se home today I heard a funny sound and saw my temp raise to the max. well I cut the engine and coasted home. saw my altenator belt had broke and my coolant had spewed everywhere. well I went and got another belt put it on and put coolant in. well It started the first time but my coolant light was still on so I put some coolant in the radiator wich was dry. and in the upper coolant filler cap, and the next time I tried to crank it. it turned over and wouldnt start and flooded like hell. now im confused. have a blown a apex seal or do I need to check my compression,?? (Hard to do around here no pep boys and the auto stores dont carry one) I REALLY NEED HELP B/C SCHOOL STARTED TODAY AND I NEED TO DRIVE BACK AND FORTH.

You cant be saying that there are no compression testers at parts stores? you dont have Auto zone or advance auto parts or murrays or SEARS?
Secondly just follow the directions in the FAQ about flooding and that will probably solve your problem.

what comes out of the exhaust when u start it. did you hear any strange sounds when you started it after the belt broke and you filled the coolant. If you saw white smoke that is a tell tale sign...edit: does it start? i flood a LOT in my car, no biggie, i floor it every time to introduce more air (its an s4, no fuel cut off at start). Need details though.
