Yeah, I know it's only a two gauge holder, IIRC, the guy who made these did both 2 and 3 hole versions.
Whoever did it was quite the artist on a metal brake, this thing is nice.
Stainless, too.

Such a simple piece, too bad it's not easy for the rest of us to make.

Simple concept maybe, but absurdly difficult execution.

Look at it...it's a piece of stainless origami.
A "piece of sheetmetal with holes drilled in it", indeed.

Theres 3 guage din holders on ebay from honk kong or somewhere for about AU$17 but apparently they dont actually fit a DIN recess as claimed.

Yes, it's one piece, no welding, just folds.

Yeah, those were NICE pieces. I've owned a couple over the years (a gauges over radio and a gauges under radio). Really well done, if I still had a stock style center stack I'd have kept one of mine.

Screwed in the factory location too

While DIN is a standard thing how it MOUNTS to your car is not, that is where the magic lies

yeah, I have a 3 hole version, I love it.

I recently went and got a sheet of aluminum to fill the DIN hole left open with another 2 gauge spots and my work is pretty crappy in comparison . But with a hammer and a vice think it turned out pretty well.

They are pretty easy to make. Mine definitely isn't a refined as the stamped and machined purchased one. But for a first attempt mine turned out pretty well and was made for virtually nothing. I used some brushed aluminum sheet that I had left over from customizing my PC. Other than some nuts, bolts screws, etc it was all labor.

The middle gauge didn't come out even. Not sure if I cut the hole wrong or if the different type gauge is what threw off my measurements. That and I skipped the drill bit along the sheet metal. If it bothers me enough I can always re-do that piece.

I used an OEM headunit bracket and made some pretty simple modifications to it.
