Dim dash light

My dash cluster lights randomly went dim ( almost to the point where it makes no difference when it's not on. ) and I can't figure out why I will be honest by saying I swung the car the other night and my battery hit the ps pump pulley but I see no direct relationship with that. It was nice and bright last time I used it, help me out ?

One of the dials on the headlight switch is a brightness adjustment. No offense intended, but could that be the issue?
