was casually curious if there is a digital sending unit kit for fc3s trannies. am thinking of making a LED speedo display. ~rich

 

I believe the only digital speed signal available on these cars would be from the wheel sensors on a ABS equppied model...

But Im not sure whether or not you would need to modify the signal to run your gauge

 

Units like the AVCR ebc have a speedometer function which reads input off of the cruise control unit. Try looking into a HUD by defi for a digital speedometer readout. theyre super pimp

 

all the speed signals on the FC come from the speedometer. The tranny uses a speedo cable, the cable feeds the speedo, the speedo sends the signals out to the cruise control, power steering, ABS computer and everything else that needs a vehicle speed sensor.

So using the ABS computer, cruise control computer or anything else is useless without the speedometer hooked up and functioning.

 

Aftermarket gauge suppliers will have speedo senders for their electronic speedos. Check out various brands to see what's available.
