Difference in NA and TII airpump?

I cant get the belt on my airpump with it mounted correctly. The pump also hits the stock intake and doesnt have much movement area. Is the Turbo airpump smaller then the na? also can an 88 pump be used on a 91 car?

it is my understanding that the mounts are slightly different

The s4 and s5 pumps have different mounts if I recall correctly because the water pump/housing is different.

The outlet pipe of the pump is also different - it's angled around on the turbo, and just short and straight out on the NA.

There's also a spacer that goes in on the pivot point for the air pump. It should go on the BACK side of the pivot point, farthest from the pulley. On the other side, that would cause problems with the belt lining up.

hmm, yeah im having trouble getitng the hose on the back becuase its an NA pump.

dcfc3s...i see what bolt your talking about, i put it behind the hole on the front, but in front of the mount that bolts into the housing (so its inbetween the pivot and the front part of the airpump) its supposed to be on the back part?

when i said the belt wouldnt go on, i meant it was too small....should i just go buy a bigger one for the ghetto rigged airpump
