Difference between Vert and Coupe aftermarket Stereo Install kits?????

I went to best buy and future shop and both do not carry an install kit that will fit the hole left from my missing originall Pioneer AE. What is up with this.
Ive got an 88' Vert. If I knew tracking something like this down was gonna be so hard I would have bothered buying an aftermarket unit>

HELP

Got mine installed (albeit 2 yrs ago) in the 88 'vert at Best Buy- they put a pocket filler under it which has since been replaced by a laser cut panel which says RX-7 and holds my A/F gauge. No difference from coupe kit. Was made by Scoshe, I beleive. I have also seen these kits at Wal-Mart.

The only difference is the width of the trim panel. Some kits require you to use the stock base model side parts to the trim panel, others provide you with them for use with a 88 vert or S4 GXL w/ CD

do you happen to have a model number or company name of the ones that fit the 88 vert bang on. I dont want to piece together more crap for this thing like an s4base surround.

As I recall, the Metra Kit has the side parts, but I am not positive as I don't use aftermarket kits, but rather I use the stock mounting brackets and make my own trim panel. Aftermarket kits tend to mount to the trim panel which often leads to pre-mature failure of the trim panel.

And your bumps(TTT) have been deleted. Bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section
