Difference between s4 and s5 tII throttle cables?

Are there any differences length wise with these two cables? I'm having the hardest time with mine. I bought one a while back and it was about an inch to long (lots of play) So i bought a new one from mazda trix for an s5 turbo and that thing is still to damn long by about an inch. The mazdatrix website has two different part numbers but when I looked on ebay atkins had a tII tc with the same part number I have and they have it listed unter 87-91 throttle cable. GRRRR out of my hole crazy *** build this is going to be the thing that gives me the most troubles....

Any help would be great!

They should be the same?
One inch difference should not change anything?

Well when I hook the tc up to the tb and the peddle I have about an inch of play until it starts actually opening up the throttle plates.

no matter how much I adjust that thing it's either about 1 to 1.5 inches of play.

I just went through this with my car, the bracket on the intake manifold is different. A S4 cable bracket solved my problems.

wow, thanks for that man. So was your cable to short or to long? It looks like the s4 braket would make the cable sit closer to the throttle boddy thus making the play even greater. You wouldn't happen to have a picture of your throttle cable connected and everything would you?
