MN It DIES whenever I REV it passed 3000 RPM

I have an 1988 Mazda rx7 TII

It starts up fine, but if I rev it passed 3000 rpm it will shuts off and DIE...
The engine will then get flooded...
I don't know what's the problem...
The engine is mostly stock... stock turbo with aftermarket inter-cooler piping...
It will also DIE when I'm driving it if the rpm goes passed 3000 rpm...
Does anyone know what's the cause of it...
I am getting a headache...
Also, would tuning the FC help solve the problem?

Are there any Rx7 FCs owners near by that are willing to come and help...
I am from Minnesota...

Any help would be appreciated... =]

1. Check for codes
2. Do the closed loop test--led should be on (rich) throughout full throttle operation--does it go out (lean) as the engine dies?
3. Backprobe the pins on the ECU connectors, see if any are out of spec per the FSM

HPI-R... You might have to check your fuel system and sensors. I'm not too familiar with the s4 electronics but I can help out with what I know. PM me if you want to chat...

It does sound like an air-flow meter issue though from the 3000RPM cut-off/flood. You will have to go through the whole troubleshooting procedure to pin-point it such as checking the basics like timing, pressure sensor, TPS (like already mentioned), ect...

I am somewhat leaning towards that AFM though....

And no, tuning won't help if your sensors are the problem.

okay... I have replaced the coils, spark plugs and wires...
I don't want to replace anything that don't need to be replace so if anyone could come over and take a look at it that would be awesome...
