dieing out at high rpm?
hey guys well today i took the car for around enjoying the spirit of the 7 lol =) anyways a while ago the top oil line blew for the turbo i made shure not to run the car without oil it was a small pin hole leak i replaced it with a Stainless steel braided line... but neways even after that the car was running pretty good.. but now heres the case car will not hit 12 psi like it would before... will hit about 6psi now all the way to redline except at around 5.5 mayb 6000 rpm it starts to sputter... im lost on the idea????
mods
Walbro 255
Bosch FPR
Apexi SAFC (somewhat street tuned)
Greddy 24row FMIC
2.5 mandrel bent exhaust (think about taking out resonator)
dont have injectors at the moment but thats not really the case... car before was hitting 12 psi constantly pulling nice and hard and now im lucky to hit 6 psi... and psi starts to go down which going high in rpm
example: punch it at about 3000 rpm ill hit 6 psi by the time im hitting 5000 rpm im at about 4 psi???
really appreciate any help
Thanks

ok check all your IC piping clamps and connections. check your BOV for leaks. also take the intake off the turbo and feel for play. i have an 89 TII and i cant hold boost to redline, so this is all i can tell you , ill start at 12psi and by redline im down to 6psi.

hey tweak check the turbo ic connections like mort2002 Did this happen over time or suddenly from one day to the other?. Since our cars are close to 20 years old and you mentioned you are still using the stock turbo, I think your turbo has to much internal wear and can't produce the psi it used to. Thats my 2cents
