S4 Sport, GXL, GTU, and TII all had 4-piston brakes... Possibly Vert's too but I can't remember...

On the S4 models (86-88) if it came with 5 lug wheels, it came with 4 piston front brakes and vented rear brakes.

In fact only the Base, Luxury coupe and SE models came with the 4 lug wheels and single piston front brakes.

So, 86-87 Sport models, 86-90 GXL models, 87-91 Turbos, 88 GTU, 89-90 GTUs (note the small "s"- should not be confused with 89-90 GTU), and all Convertibles all came with 4 piston front brakes.

In this is found in the Standard features and options sticky thread found at the top of this section.
