I distintly remeber seing several Fcs that have been sold with TII hoods from the factory could I get more then one person to prove or disprove this..

They made one N/A hood per N/A FC.

Then again, all FDs had turbo hoods.

 

Why is this a poll? And no..there were no N/A FCs sold with a Turbo hood.

 

no NA FCs with turbo Hoods.....they had aluminum hoods though.

 

Never heard of any N/A's coming with TII hoods either.

 

Ok, funny thing is I distintly rember seing a GTU on the lot of a Dealership for sale new with a Turbo hood..

If you did knotice my wording I didnt say it was a mandatory but it was an option and I know there are some..

thats like saying the R1 or r2 models of the FD didnt come with Cruise or sun roof.. I have seen my self one R1 with a Sun roof and a few others with Cruise Control from Mazda.. But thats ok..

 

Not one non-turbo came from the factory with a Turbo style hood.

It was never an option. Not even an available option.

Now it is possible that a dealer swapped one because of damage while shipping. But that (of course) would again, not be factory or port installed.

Cruise control was, is and always has been an "available option" meaning that any dealer could install it even if the car did not come with it from the factory.

My 87 Sport did not come with even the option of cruise control from the factory, but because it was an "available option" I traded my stock AM/FM tape for it when I bought my Sport new.

Available options means that Mazda has a kit that can add that to the car.

And there are a couple different companies that can do electric sunroofs... It is a very common dealer modification to send a brand new car not equipped with a sunroof out to a shop and have them put an electric sunroof in, in Southern California.

But there was not even an available option for a Turbo Hood onto a non-turbo car.

 

And there was no 91 GTU model. In 91 there was only the Coupe, the Convertible, and the Turbo (not the TurboII- Just the Turbo)

 

Well, im not going to apologize..

Also the R1 I saw had a a factory Metal sun roof just like the touring models.. and I did not believe him till I saw the actual sale sticker for the car when He bought it from the dealer.. So.. What ever you say.. and Bio can go to hell for all I care.

 

ya some came with turbo hoods...they also came with the turbo engine though...and a turbo....and a top mount intercooler....actually i think they call those the turbo model...hmmmmm
