i was coming home and i wasnt really being hard on the car, and when i shifted to third at about 4000 or 4500 RPM's it grinded so i pulled it back into neutral and went back to third it did the same thing. it rolled to a stop and i tried going to first, the clutch seems to work except for that it grinds and is real hard to go into gears, when i got it into first it seemed like it was in 4th or 5th it barely pulled forward a little bit then stalled, anytime the clutch is disengaged (even in neutral) you can hear clanging and sounds like stuff is rolling around in the tranny...

what does everyone think? at first i thought the clutch exploded but after it seemed like the clutch actually worked then i thought i tore out the cluster gear in the tranny...

 

isnt there a plate on the bottom of the n/a transmissions? I know there is one on the turbo transmission, take that off and shine a flashlight up there and have someone press in the clutch and see if it is disengaugeing when you press it in, that should be a place to start.
