Did I Order The Right Caliper From Autozone?

88 GXL-rear driver side caliper, I told them COUPE, 5 LUG, then they asked me NORMAL or HARD suspension. My car has that auto adjusting suspension, so I told them HARD. And is the new caliper gonna come with all that E-Brake garbage on it too? Thanks

Well, the normal or hard question was odd.

but I think that if the part is right, then the suspension might not be a factor.

Take a picture (heck take the whole caliper) to the store to compare.

It is of my opinion, that if you got it at autozone, you got the WRONG part. (Mazda for the brake calipers is my belief).

However, you gave them the right description. The new caliper will come as a bare bones caliper, no e-brake cables attached, merely the actuator pawl for the ebrake, and maybe a bleeder screw (though Lord only knows why you would'nt want an emergency brake.)
Can you say, "I have too much faith in a 15 year old hydraulic system?"

I've been asked "hard and soft suspension?" myself. Hard quantifies 4 piston calipers, soft gets the single piston. Shouldn't make a lick of difference to the rear.
