Thumbs down DID i just blow it???? or what??

ok im hoping this all is just a spark plug issue in my 86 NA sport, it just happend a few minnuts ago and i left my car at my friends house, ok here is the situation, my car has been sitting all winter and the first day it was about 40 i got my car out to drive it then i would park it when teh shity weather came around off and on. so today was probly the 5 th time i have had it out this year and before the winter i believe a water seal had began to spring a slight leak b/c when i would pull the dipstick it would be very white foamy style but i had put the dreaded radiator stop leak in the system and sure enough the problem had stopped so saddly i know the engine probly doesnt have much life in it but it is running very strong still with great compression. and the main reason im hoping this all happend to night is because the plugs in the car have been bad scince i first got it out and when i would step on it too quick it would cough once at me then get to business. but then tonight it got a little rainy out and i ripped through first gear and then it broke and i heard the buzzer for a second, then i grinded into second pretty hardcore due to bad slave cylinder lol, then i ripped through second gear and had the wheels spinning at about 5-7k until i ran outa second gear then when i went to third gear the car almost died and kept caughing at me. then i **** myself. then i took it easy but when i would just slightly get on the gas in any gear it would just hack and cough at me constantly, please help me out from experiences or knowledge in general.

I think his theory is that with the engine seperated from the car, you can do no damage to the engine, car, yourself, or other people/property. I'd tend to agree, based upon what was written above.

i dont say this to many people but you're a dumbass if you keep driving it. you either have bad plugs ($10 to replace) bad fuel filter ($20) or dirty injectors ($40). common dude either come up with the cash and fix it or park it till you do. you're not the smartest person either to be beating the car with a problem like this. compare a max of $40 too $1200 for a rebuild. its common sense.

Yea, if you got a water seal; its still gonna leak through; you're gonna end up having to buy a new motor or rebuilding with new housings and rotors. Its your choice;

My car did pretty much the same thing a week ago. It turned out that one of my oil metering lines was broken.

my om lines are fine. some of you are forgetting that the engine already needs rebuilt due to the water seal which is why im planning on getting rid of it once that goes all the way. And my fuel filter is fine. and i have plugs for it. but **** you guys are acting like i am driving it around with no coolant or oil ect.. driving with bad plugs is why it wasnt running to its optimum yah, but its nothing like it seems you guys are making it up to be. I know u all are alot smarter than me about this stuff and i aknowledge that.

when you post stuff like your first post (about how you were driving taking it to 7k ripping through gears etc.) people assume your just another punk kid with an rx7 ( we have plenty on here). just some friendly advice thatd itd probably be better too not enclude that stuff (even tho we all do it at somepoint or another) . but anyways about your problem. change your plugs, spray some electrical connections cleaner on the spark plug wires and let us know how that goes.

well my buddy has an engine that i am planning on buying with low mileage and he is giving me a good deal for that. and im weird, b/c if i plan on doing any rebuilding im gonna dump alot of money into, b/c iv been autocrossing for a while, and i want to get into road racing or lapping sessions. which is the reason i want to get that engine from my buddy b/c it should be able to handle a beating on. thanks
ps. i am a punk kid lol. but im far from being a ricer or anything like that who just wants to beat the hell outa my car all the time with no respect or reason
thanks
