Did i get a good deal?

I just recently bought an RX7 fc 1987 for $750.
-It was salvaged though i can't find where it was hit
-has 3 minor dents
-paint is real messed up
-has 13b engine with turbo mirrors
-needs some engine mounts
-good interior
-runs great except for some clunking noise when i change gears
-150k miles on the engine
but im real stoked out about restoring everything and fixing it up do you guys think it's worth it?

Thanks!

That clunking noise you hear is a bad mount somewhere along your drivetrain. If it's coming from the back of the car, it's your rear end mount. Replacing it should fix it if that's the problem.

cool thanks i'll check it out in the morning, i was started to think it was the suspension bottoming out from the pull of the car because when i let the clutch go slowly the sound doesn't bump.

also i was reading the haynes manual of how to change engine mounts, is it that simple?
put the car on stands
unbolt
left engine with wood block and jack
replace?
im a newb so any replys are real helpful!

Let your bank account answer this In a years time. As for now, I'd say you scored - considering you have a running Motor.

thanks alot guys i looked up more on the clunking noise and chris your right it is a mount somewhere in the back. the only thing is i don't know how to check where it's coming from. some said you have to drop the subframe and take off the Y pipe in order to work on it. does anyone have pics of their mounts?
