starting to do the rats nest removal... anyone want to chime in? cleaned the 6pi...very effective!!!

you would be correct... i was trying to cover up the uglyness...

now we just need a s4 specific emmissions removal write up with pics... id do it, but iono what im doing!!

thats pretty hot man!! what did you paint the "mazda" part with? or did you just mask it off? and yes... i assume it is the exact same color... some platikote caliper paint... rated to 900F

he probably painted it then sanded off the paint on the mazda logo that would be the easiest way i believe.

yep... i think it turned out good. it really stands out being the only thing chrome. you should really do it.

ok..the question was "did i do a GOOD job".... the answer is no! ......... by not painting the entire motor, and leaving the side unpainted, is considered half-***..... BUT, you did make an effort, which is more than i can say for alot of people...... so i give you props...and the work doesnt look bad, just unfinished! so dont take it as an insult! just helpful critcism.....

yeah, you really cant half-*** anyting on an rx7. Trust me, if you take your time and do it right, you'll be much more pleased with the results. You won't even have to ask if you did a good job, you'll already know.

thats a good way to do it, i did that to my calipers after painting them red

another way i was told was to sand the area you want to bring out before paint then put a very fine layer of oil/grease on the section. After you paint the oiled sections just wipes clean.

I think I was having s seizure from that hideous paintjob. Do it right this time. At least clean the dirt and grease off the damn thing before you paint it.
