i checked the car this morning. I opened the fill cap on the rad. and turned on the car. i watched for about a minute and nothing changed. the water level went up about 3mm after i started it and it stayed there the whole time. i also found the source of my missing water. the temp sensor on top of the rad is leaking.
does this mean i'm clear?

i assume that it is oil i'm burning then, so how do i check to see where it's coming from?

 

Did I miss something here or are we to 'assume' there's a smoke trail of some kind/color you're attempting to diagnose???

 

I guess its not coolant seals but I don't know what the original problem is...please describe! I assume you have a smoke trail but what color is it? Does it smell?
