When looking for a new exhaust, should I go for a 3" or 2.5" diameter?? I have an aggressive streetport on an 87 TII... planning on upgrading to an 89-91 turbo.. cone intakes...

And what cat-back?? The apex'i looks like it might hit the ground if i lower my car at all... lol... aside from the racing beat and N1, what other exhaust are recommened?

from what i see on RB's site their full turbo exhaust is amazing, showing 58hp increases on stock engines, plus its like 800 bucks or something, not too bad if i say so myself
but im not a turbo guy so im not positive about what system

any of the cat backs, N1, greddy etc, are only 2.5" at the flange, so you might as well get a 2.5" down pipe etc aswell. if you want a 3" system, either get the racing beat, or get a custom one.

So if i were to get a 3" HKS DP and a high flow cat would that mount up to the 3" racing beat catback?

don't buy a cat back. make one. it'll be way cheaper. just find a local shop. and the racing beat catback will only be 2.5" at the flange too. the whole system is 3" and only works with those parts. the cat back is 2.5" so it will bolt to the stock cat.
if you don't want to build one, just buy the racing beat. it's way cheaper then buying a cat back, down pipe, and mid pipe. it'll out flow the rest, and last longer. the RB exhaust is the best.

so then what does it make at the stock psi level?

damn boost creep!!
Why would Mazda cut the fuel to the engine? To only one rotor at that!! (No wonder the rear rotor usually goes first) Why not have a spark-cut feature instead? Were they thinking, "Hey, lets cut the fuel to the engine UNDER BOOST so the thing goes lean, the ****** blows, and they buy a new engine for an insane amount from the factory!!" Ha!!!

11 psi IS STOCK when you put this system on your car. It increases boost by 6psi. I have the system myself and yes 58hp is an accurate figure on horsepower increase. You need to upgrade the fuel system to sustain that boost otherwise you'll blow the engine like I did.
