Demonspeed front lip spoiler......

I was wondering if anyone has the demonspeed front lip spoiler on their car and pics to post. I would prefer S5 pics. Even if you don't have any other body mods lets see it. I want one, but I don't have money to go buy other body work stuff and was wondering if it looked cool with just the lip on there and stock everything else.
peace,
Charles

I have one but I have not installed it yet. It has been in my garage for over a year now (maybe 2 years?)

Another good source for the same lip is SpeedSource Inc.

Be sure to do a search for DemonSpeed on this forum before you buy from them.

if you get one...make sure its fastened on there GOOD!

an FC was following me on the highway that had the demonspeed lip and it was flapping like CRAZY. i don't think there is a middle connection so that piece on the middle is prone to much vibration from the wind

just my observations...maybe he didn't have it on all the way...or other owners don't notice its flapping...

im currently working on a new front lip/splitter, its going to be CF and have a honeycomb core... real F1 tech, nothing but the best. The flapping is caused by the huge aredynamic forces at the front of the car, as a very high pressure bubble forms on top off it. im trying to make mine strong enough so this wont happen. i also hope the stock mounting place is strong enough to hold it on, but im having doubts, some reinforcements may be necessary but the splitter is going to be semi-functional. im designing this to go on my S5, i dunno if it will fit on S4's. I might need to test fit one on some1's car since my front left fender has a little dent. Could probably make that person one for a discount. ill let everyone know when i get the first one finished.

For information purposes, the "Demonspeed splitter" is really a misnomer. The splitters are made by a friend of mine in Central Florida. I know, because I have them in stock. (At a far better price and far better ethics!). Doug may sell them, but they are far from being "his".

The S5 splitter has been proven effective on many SCCA ITS cars here in the Southeast at places like Daytona, where front-running RX7s are topping out at over 140 mph. The installation is key. A friend of mine installed his with eight Dzus fasteners so he could remove it to drive the car onto the trailer. If you desire a more permanent mount, use large fender washers for a more thorough installation.

Here are some pics of some cars that run in the Central Florida region:

Let me know if you're interested.

I actually prefer it that way. For one, I never use auto carwashes, so that isnt a concern. Next, I always run aftermarket decks, and its more trouble than its worth to make it function. Therefore witht he old deck still in place, I raise the antenna, unplug the motor, and then install my own deck. Finally, it's less expensive to use this method than buying a replacement if it is a bad motor etc.

my rear spoiler is starting to get some cracks, maybe i should make a copy and have an antenna wire going through it. That way you'll never have to have a visable antenna again, and wont have to worry about motors breaking, car washes (i dont get automatic ones either), or chlidren looking for mischief. kinda like the dodge vipers..... Though, thats imbedded in the windshild. sound like a good project? Overkill is allways the best solution...

I'm goin for the RC car look with a base load quarter wave CB whip on the old radio antenna mount.
The windshield antenna is enough to get local FM.

Does anyone make a reasonably priced lip for an S4 WITHOUT the cutout in the middle? I like the demonspeed style lip on the S5, but because the S4 front doesn't have the indentation on the bottom, I think it looks kinda goofy on the S4. Are there any (That don't cost a mint) that are solid all the way across? Do you guys know what I mean?

I was hoping to find the same thing for my S4. I would love to get one straight across. Maybe Mike L could make one if there is enough interest

oc, i would suggest molding in some 1/16-1/8 aluminum strips through that section as strengthening beams. hijack over.
