Somehow water is in the connector. Pull it apart, blow it dry.
My guess is that you may have used a pressure washer? If so, don't do that. It forces water into everywhere it should not be.

^^well it came back on today.. but now it reads REALLY lean.. As a matter of fact, today i noticed it acts just like it does when it is reading correctly, but on the opposite side of the meter..
Oh and i didnt pressure wash it btw.. but i did use a nozzle on the jet stream option.. should i still not do that?

^^ Um no.. i did not use a "Pressure Washer" therefore it is not pressure washing.. i used a setting on the hose that had a little more pressure than the rest. If it doesn't help the situation then why bother saying it?
my A/F readings are slowly becoming more stoich. I guess i can pull apart all the connectors but its been like 3 days now wouldn't the engine heat have done that job already?

the jet setting on most nozzles is enough to force water into most elec connectors and some vapor could still be in the connectors which returns to liquid when it cools down keeping your problem around
couldn't hurt just go through one by one bound to find some water there

that sounds right.. but i shouldn't be worried right? Cuz i kinda have no choice but to drive the car. I mean the car doesn't feel like its running different and i can't find any reason other than the water screwing with the connectors as to why my A/F reading are off. So i guess i should be a little more careful next time i degrease? Cuz i need to do it again lol.
I hate to sound like a noob.. but where exactly are the connectors i should be looking for?

ok so i checked out all the connectors and they were mostly dry.. I am still getting readings that are off. I mean i understand water shorting it out and it not working.. but i don't see what could be throwing off the readings now that it's working again. What should my next step be?
So I am still having this problem with my A/F readings.. The pattern is just like the old pattern in relation to % throttle, but reading lean to stoich instead of stoich to rich.. any other suggestions? Fuel filter, injector problem maybe? would i feel a difference in how the car ran if it was really running that lean? I did accidentally leave a plastic bag over the air filter when i started it back up for a few seconds but then i remembered it was there because the car shut off.. Don't know if that could have screwed anything up but at this point i am clueless.
Today i drove the car and the readings richened up a bit.. for the first time since it started having problems it read like the first bar of rich under boost.. so confused lol
This **** is pissing me off.. I finally got back to almost normal readings.. and now they are back to stoich. Is the gauge on the fritz or are my injectors faltering?

Questions...
Is this a narrowband connected to the stock sensor or a wideband? If it's a narrowband, I'd guess something is wrong with the connection to the sensor wire.
Another thing is that many narrowband sensors "breath" through the wire. If you somehow got water in there, the sensor is junk.

It's a narrowband.. i would love to invest in a wideband. I guess i can try resetting the ECU if not i need a new sensor i guess. I just want to be sure those are not real readings cuz then i have a bigger problem

Sounds like a bad sensor.

It depends on what you are using it for.
If you intend to tune the car, then a wideband, EGT or both is the best choice.
But with a narrowband and an EGT you can get a good tune. The trick is that you have to know how to read an EGT probe.
