no. if you cant find it for close to free, than id say bad deal. at least thats what i did. i simply gave away all my non turbo **** as its not very useful. now the turbo stuff? thats some worthwhile stuff to have.

why not buy a Crapped out s5 long block?
it would have everything on it that you would want and then you could sell the rotors too,and make some profit.

Not worth the trouble depends on you, have you done your research to determine what all the swap for VDI includes?

well ive studied the information through a few times and already have airpump actuators.
i would block off my egr and my acv first of all and just a few shaves of metal here and routing the new vac lines.
and since i realize cygnus doesnt really like me so are you being serious or joking about if it always worth it?
and with that said im still considering this mod just going to think it through a little bit more.

I don't enjoy the lack of punctuation, spelling mistakes or run-on sentences but I don't think anyone is knocking you personally.

The point is this: NA FC parts are inexpensive compared to turbo parts, therfore you'd be paying too much in this case.

It would probably depend on where you live and the supply of FCs, but as already stated NA parts are what most people get rid of.

Really this days NA stuff is worth nothing.I just gave a way 2 S4 blocks and a bunch of S4/S5 NA parts. Here in PA almost every FC on the road is turbo swapped,Cosmo or FD powered,NAs fc3s in good shape are getting rare by the day that is really not good,If i had a NA S4 and the chance to do the swap for almost free i will do it,why not?but still you can spend that money in something that will help keep the car in good shape.
Oil change.
Belts
Cleaning injectors
Spark plugs
Fuel filter
Maybe a cheap header to improve performance.
Fixing old or stuck six port actuator.
Do you get the point?

aw man, I needed a S4 block lol

I remember 4 years ago when S5 manifolds were selling at 70-80.
Nowadays people just sell them cheap just to make a simple profit for a turbo swap.
I am pretty sure you can find the S5 parts for cheaper if you wait and look.

yea im thinking i should wait. i really want a nice set of headers and might as well wait for them to come around.
i have only seen 4 others sevens in my entire life where i live and they have all been NA's.
i dream the day i get to see a turbo 2. i just really want to turbo my NA but realized it would be like at least 2 grand.
maybe its time to throw a hundred here and there to savings instead of 20 hot tickets to 5 hp.
i should get a sticker that says not turbocharged or NA all huge so all the impreza owners dont get all happy when they pull me just a little.
thanks guys.

I try to tell people all the time to not buy the N/A they're looking at and save a little more for a turbo. Nobody listens.

Ive been down this road. If you want a fast street car get a turbo. Your never gonna make power on an N/A unless you do a BP/PP engine.

Save some money, when the times right sell your car and get a turbo. Or, keep throwing money at your N/A and maybe you'll make 200hp one day.

I know, cool story.....

or i can start saving and retain my seven since its like my first child(ill never get rid of it for the world), and save for the turbo.
when my na came for sale it was the first time i had ever bought my own car and seen a rx7, i jumped right into it and bought a car that could do donuts like no other id seen yet. only to repair half the parts as it was a donor car and all the parts were from the broken parts off other rx7s.
so i had to repaint the car and redo everything as it was alternating blue and maroon.
not to mention the clutch was shot by the time i paid it off. no donuts anymore...
at the time i didnt know it was a rotary or that they even existed.
now my life has changed for ever and there not one second i dont think about ways to improve this and that on my car.
PURE ADDICTION!!
anyways imma save for my turbo 2, hopefully it the first one i get to see in real life.
(and if anyone has read the nitrous thread im sorry. that thread makes me look like a dueshe lol
