okay how can u telll an dealer reman and our builds....other then the funny colors we use..

i need to kno cause im lookin at a car from insure company and the engine looks brand new so was thinkin its brand new or reman from them

probably just cleaned.

 

mazda reman engines usually have a 5 digit number stamped on the top of each rotor housing, just inboard of the mazda 13B logo.

but yeah, they could have just taken it to a detailer and had them pressure wash and detail the engine.. climb under the car and look for oil residue, if it looks much cleaner on top than the bottom then that is your answer.

 

Yeah that's right, but previous to that, mazda used red paint on the engine to show it was reman.

it really depends on who builds them for mazda, the numbers were an easier way to track them as mazda remans since mazda really just sublets their rebuilds to the lowest bidder who can do the job right.
