dead clutch???

i think my clutch is dead maby... was driving around today just like always, sitting at a light then going it goes into first fine then went to shift into second and the clutch pedal hard. it wouldnt go in at all and i couldnt get it into any gears. i havent done many hard launches but she seemed fine.

i figured i probably fragged the disk, of the fingers on the pressure plate broke.
but could it be the through out bearing??

i plan on pulling the trans before buying anything. so there goes almost 3 years of work into a stupid clutch!

Do you get any grinding when it refuses to go into gear, or is it just not letting the shifter move altogether? Grinding would indicate a disk that will not disengage, and is probably due to a worn out pressure plate.

Other than being stiff now, has the pedal felt spongey? If so, bleed the system and check for leaks at the slave cylinder.

You probably are just in need of a new clutch. Hopefully you can save money and replace it yourself.

no it actually is the drivers side motor mount nut backed off and the mound popped off. so it was the clutch fork hitting the trans tunnel. funny **** but now a lot cheaper.
