dashpot replacement

My 88 vert decelerates way too fast and dies alot. My dashpot seems to be shot (the rod doesn't extend when accelerating). anyone know where I can find replacement other than Mazda dealer? can't seem to locate one.

Weird. Our 90 Tii'd vert dies sometimes when you let off the gas. The rpms plummet below 500. Sometimes it recovers, sometimes it doesnt. It idles at a rock solid 750.

I put another dashpot in there but it still does it. Adjusted per the FSM to no avail.

I ordered a new one from Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda for $97.07 yesterday. Here's a link to a thread in the FD section on a deal they are doing for that group.

If that doesnt work I was going to investigate the throttle body adjustments. There is one where you set the closed position for the butterflys. Maybe mine is too closed but the BAC compensates to some degree...
