Dash harness plug at ECU pin locations
Dash harness plug at ECU pin locations
Do anyone have a picture of the pin locations of the dash harness at the ECU? I'm trying to figure out a trailing coil problem. All i need is a picture of the connector and what pin locations each wire is.. Thanks

That is the diagram for a series four na or turbo. The pins are on the largest plug.
There is a online, free, no cost, little money involved, FSM ONLINE for free. The links are on this site under the FAQ thread at the very beginning. The online fsm, Fuel Section, shows how the pins are arranged on the ECU plugs. Count from the right to the left in a up/down method. The coils wires on the whole go to the ECU, largest plug. The wire colors are also shown in the attached diagram.
Download in the dead of night if you have a slow connection. Only the FUEL SECTION. Look in the part called CONTROL UNIT.
You really should state what year/type car you have. Series four and five differ at the ECU plugs.

I think my harness plug at the ECU is bad.. I did some more point to point ohm checks. All three wires from ECU to trailing coil ohm check good with no breaks in the wires. I also checked for the correct voltage at the trailing coil 4 prong connector. Two of the voltage checks are within the range but one is not. Pin 1V is staying at .01 Volts during just ignition or running. should be 2.0V ignition on and 4.0V running. I pulled up on the connector and the voltage started to climb. How hard is it to re-pin all the ECU connectors to new ones? Is this the best way to do it or splice in the existing wires into another connector? Thanks for all the help...

The dash harness does not connect to the ECU...
