Dang you TPS of doom

Yeup, my tps is going. My car starting bucking at 2 grand and wouldnt go any where past that. I went and looked under the hood and when moving the tps plungers noticed that the bottom one was sticking. My check engine light has been coming on at high rpms and what not. I went and picked one up from a junk yard hoping to find a good one but alas it was even worse than mine and made the check engine light come on all the time. I dont want to spend 300 something on a new one of these little sum bitches. Sad day

I had a similar problem with mine. It was sticking and it had a few dead spots where it would read infinite resistance. I took it off and hosed it down with contact cleaner/lube its been working great for about 6 months now. Hope this helps

He probably meant electical contact cleaner. You should be able to find it at a automotive type place.

Did you remember to unplug your battery to clear the error codes?

from that site online that shows you how to hookup LED's to your ECU to tell the codes.

i believe that the S4's will NOT store ECU error codes.

S5's will store all codes untill battery has been disconnected.
