okay, the other day i was driving behind a friend and he stops. so i pull to the side of him. we then speed up and when i hit 2nd i hear this loud bang and i think it was a pot hole.

so now when i start the car in the morning seems everything is okay. but when im leaving i put it in to 1st. and the car seems to be okay. but when i put it into 2nd. and kinda floor it. this a clicking sound. i cant seem to find out where the clicking is coming from or what the problem is. this happens when i first start the car and the temp is low.

it runs fine tho when the car warms up. any help will do. thanks.

ps. i just got this car about 2 months ago. so i hope it doesnt explode on me. haha.

 

It could be a broken tooth in the input gear.
If so, it will make a ticking sound that synchronizes with engine RPMs in all but 4th gear.
Fourth gear is straight through & does not input through the counter shaft.

 

so how would i fix this problem eh.?
