Angry This damn thing is possessed, i swear!!

i think im gonna cry. Just as soon as i fix one thing, something else breaks!! My clutch was dead, so i fixed it, now my tranny is gonna fall apart on me. Just as soon as i replace the belts and radiator hoses, there is a leak in the actual radiator and the headlight goes out (Mr. Statie notified me of that. Two other cars with one headlight out passed him, but who does he pull over? the red-flip-up light sports car. Yeah. *******.) oh yeah... my rear defroster worked fine in the SUMMER!!

You think it's worth spending the money to bring the car to a dealer and get a full tune up so that i might MAYBE avoid these stupid little gremlins in my car?

For the love of all that's holy don't ever take your car to the dealership unless you're way beyond desperate! I've had a dealership switch my spark plug wires before, etc...

i'm in the same boat. just did clutch, pressure plate, etc, redline fluid. fixed the interior electrical issues. now my headlights have an electrical drain, one couldn't beat a small yellow candle, and both my front shocks are blown so my wheels feel like basketballs and flap the steering all over the place.

The dim headlight thing is usually a bad ground.
The low beam is finding it's ground through the high beam filiment
I budget about one weekend per month for RX-7 maintenance. Last week it was wax & lube, the month before, a new radiator...

To to the dealership and get a radiator, transmission and the headlight is going to cost a bundle.

A radiator from the wrecking yard for approx 25, maybe 75 for a transmission and a new light bulb for 10-15 at the store, plus your labor and TIME. Maybe even a new radiator from MAZDATRIX instead.

Cars getting old and parts wearing out.

Maybe buy the parts from the yard and get a local shop to do the install cheaper if your not inclined to do it yourself. The dealership prices are going to be high. They have a lot of overhead for that big building and high priced mechanics plus they have a boat payment coming up they gotta make. And they have to makeup all that loot they lost in their 401K's the last two years.
