Damn Left my lights on again...no buzzer help
Everyone,
For the 3rd time this spring I have left my lights on on my 87 NA. For some reason the buzzer, if you want to call it that, is not loud enough to remind me when I am in a hurry. Does anyone else have this problem, if so is there a way I can make the buzzer louder so that I can actually hear it.....this is getting really old.

even during the daylight hours i check to see if everything is off before i turn key to 'off'
It's just a habit i have IE: Radio off, Headlights off (even if i never turned them on)
Just put it in your head. the buzzers wear out after time and they get real quite. You can go to radio shack and wire one in... if you good with electronics and soldering.

I had the same problem. For some reason the key warning beep works but the headlight one just makes a very faint ticking sound. This could probably be repaired, but I just wired in a new and much louder piezo buzzer that sounds whenever the lights are on and a door is open. Takes about 10 minutes to install.
Note that the diode must be installed with the correct orientation or it won't work. The piezo buzzer is also polarity-consious.
