Unhappy dam 7. tranny,clutch problems

ok my car has already started having problems. i was driving down the road getting on it alittle. i have a 88 se 5spd and i was shifting normal from second to third and it strached so as soon as i heard that i put it in reverse and coasted back to the parkin lot i was at . i thought it might be the (slave) master cylinder so i changed that out with another one cause i had a bent rod that went to the master cylinder and it really didnt do ****. when i start the car and push the clutch in to put it in gear it wont let me. and also i can hear this funny sound coming from the tranny when i have the clutch half way engaged and it feels choppy, funny. i know that tranny has to be dropped. i just wanna know what possibly happened?? thanks guys

I'm not sure what stratched means?

So you cannot select select gears....that would be an error of...the clutch perhaps? I could select gears when my cars tranny was shot, just felt like it was in nuetral. The Choppy, funny, sound would be the Pilot bearing! it's probably worn or broken, they are only 10 bucks
