daiken/exedy clutch kits
ive found a DAiken clutch kit for fairly cheap and wonderign how good they are. i think they are just teh same as teh oem clutch. so up to what level is the oem clutch good for? i have a new intake, and turbo back exhaust. planning for more mods in the future. and i do a lot of aggresive driving/drifting on the weekends.

Keep Right Except to Pass
If I were you I would get a pressure plate with upgraded clamping force like an ACT if you plan on power upgrades. The stock units aren't good for a whole lot more than stock levels of power.
I was only making 197 rwhp and getting slippage out of a fairly new (~1,000 mi) stock PP/disk. They were either Daiken or Exedy or a combination, can't remember exactly now.

NEW question. if i were to buy just an ACT street/strip disc and use my current pressure plate, would i gain any performance? my clutch doesnt feel very soft at all, so i think the pressure plate is still good.

Jesus is the Messiah
The pressure plate applying much more clamping power is a major part of what makes a sport clutch more sporty.
And I lothe exedy clutches. I've tried them on an N/A S5 and on an N/A S4 (even freshly installed) and they have been horrable.
However: I put one in my girlfriend's toyota corolla Sr5 and it was pretty decent (being that the SR5 is a total economy car never to see a race or spirited driving situation)
