d-1 ebay fender fitment
Hey i need some new fenders to replace my rusted ones at the moment. I've looked at a buncha and many seem to have the s5 side mouldings which won't match my 87 rx-7. Has anyone tried these?
d-1 fenders
rear fenders
Please any feedback is appreciated, even if it is on different fenders, i would prefer rear and front. and with s4 molding. I do not like the tripoint, i believe it sticks out too much for a regular street car, and i have looked at the Mariah ones but they are rather pricey. Fitment is very essential since this is a money saving idea not soemthing to spend more money on adjusting
Thanks
Sorry for the longish post

Ither way the rear one will have to be molded in no matter what skin you use. The front I dont know. It looks like it may fit lol. Persoanly I like a much more agresive front

yes its corksport fronts and race on usa rear flares. Fittiment will not be "bolt on". These will need to be molded and worked to get to fit. And if your car has ever been hit the fittiment will be worse.

Those are AIT fenders. I have a set that I got directly from them. They WILL fit, but you will have to open up a few of the mounting holes. You will also have to shove on it a bit to 'stretch' it to fit right. I was scared to do that, but my friend that does body work threw his weight into it and it moved into place. Heh.
Hope this helps.

No, I'm talking about the fronts. They are NOT just bolt on and go. They aren't bad, mind you; it just takes a little work.
Smog, they would make your stock wheels look tiny since they would be so far inside the fender. FWIW, the ACTUAL amount of extra fender is about 22mm, not 30. I wasn't too happy when I found that out, but unless you're pushing the limits of what you can fit, it shouldn't be an issue.

i won't be running on stock wheels so thats not a problem, the rear should be fine since its cut and mold. BUt thanks for the info on the front fenders, aslong as theres no extensive bodywork involved in getting them to fit thats ok, shifting and shoving isn't that huge of a problem, compared to adding on material.
Thanks, any more input will also be appreciated! but thanks for the info so far.

Personally I wouldn't buy any product like that from eBay if the seller can't even post a pic of the finished product on the car. It strongly hints that they have no car to take a photo of, and hence and have probably done little or no R&D to make sure it's a decent product. But that's just me...

yea, i got those fenders and up them on, there ok, i cracked the fiberglass on one side and it spidered out but the body kit i got covers that up, i guess its pretty good for the price, i just bought the oem width, cuz those back fenders look like **** unless u spend some time to get them molded in properly

yea, i have the the regular width ones and they look, i sorta cracked the front lower side of one installing it, but the body kit covers it up, i guess there not a bad deal for the price.... i wouldn't mind doing the wide body set but the rear look horrible if not molded in right
