cutoff switch from fuse box

90 rx7 n/a

Flooding. i am having some flooding issues,so i wired up fuel cutoff switch. is it ok to wire it from the interior fuse box. from the 15amp fuse that says engine.

i wired it from that because i can hear the pump repressure the system after trying to start when the fuse is in. when i took it out no more pump. so i wired in the switch and it works like its suposed to.

i also noticed when cutoff switch is off the tach dosnt jump from the starter cranking the engine.

so im wondering if when i turn it off dose it maybe disable a important circut for starting.

Engine fuse powers the Main Relay and the Circuit Opening Relay which in turn supply power to the ECU, fuel pump and fuel injectors and other things.

I'd recommend wiring it like most others do. To the Circuit Opening Relay under the dash and just above the steering column. I'll try to find a link on *how to* later. If someone else has it and wants to post it, have at it.

Go to this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...UEL+CUT+SWITCH

Read the instruction by the NZCONVERTIBLE. That should work. Look at his lower picture. The *B* socket is where you'll find the Black/White wire that you want to cut a couple of inches back from the plug. One half of the cut wire goes to one contact on your switch and the other end of the cut wire goes to the other contact on your switch.
