im kinda curious what this is for. i was looking under my dash to try to firugre out my power windows situation. so whats it do?

it was just tucked up under my dash wrapped around a bigger plug. couldnt really get a good picture from under the dash but here it is.
theere are two wires coming from teh harness to the plug they are blue with a red stripe. and blue with a yellow stripe with red dashes. then on the cut side of the plug they are blue with what looks like a purple stripe and then the other is the same purplish color. not really great to have wires cut like this

 

Is there any chance the L/Y is really L/W?

If so, then maybe a courtesy light for something.

 

well if it only seems to be a light ill justr leave it tucked up under the dash. dont really need it
