custom turbo exhaust manifold question

custom turbo exhaust manifold question

does anybody have tried to do a turbo manifold to bring the stock turbo foward and out of the LIM? i kow is pointless but i wish mine isnt so close to the LIM plus im thinking of doing it

yep, i had one done a couple years ago. the guy that did it doesn't make them anymore but it was pretty badass!

what kind of piping should be used for these high temp exhaust flow? what kind of welding is required?

That's a shitload of work for zero gains. As well as the manifold you need a new intake, exhaust, oil loines, water lines...

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

like i said in the top. i dont like it so close to the intake i wanna bring it out some plus im planning to get a BRN soon too and i wanna have that aftermarket look too even i have a stock turbo

If you just need to move it out, you can weld another flange to the existing flange and install longer studs in the block. That will move it out 3/4" or so. Otherwise it's not really hard to get a cheap aftermarket manifold and extend the pipes by a few inches.
