But the lengths of the pipe can't be identical between RX-7's and Preludes, so I'm thinking it would be easier with the longer one cut to the lengths you needed it to be.

Big as in what, length? Diameter? Both of those are the same kit, just one is in 2 sections and one isn't.

Now, one is for 97-02 so I really don't have personal experience in that, just 92-96, but from the pictures they *look* the same, exactly the same, just one in sections one not. I'd just go for the 92-96 one that is already cut for you.

What are you talking about? Now maybe the 97-02 is a different length even though it looks the same, BUT the 2nd one is the 92-96 which works! It is just in 2 sections instead of 1! IF you get the one that is all 1 piece of pipe you HAVE to cut it anyways to be like that. 92-96 kit is the same whether in 1 piece of 2, and no matter what you'll have to have it in 2 pieces for the AFM unless you have standalone with no AFM, so you'll be cutting it if it's 1 pipe.

Still a little confused here, do you mean the TB elbow piece that bolts to the TB? Or the piping AFTER that which connects to the AFM? If you're talking abot the TB elbow then you'll need one of the big rubber couplers to get over the lip of it and clamp down. Then you'll have to tighten it a bunch onto the prelude piping. Hope that helps, unless I misunderstood what you were saying.

actualy the pic in the first on probably wouldn't do because it is just the air intake not the cold air intake. I had that same exact one for my 97 prelude and it just goes from the back of the engine to the front. I would sugest the cold air because you can cut up the curvey piece and then the peice that goes down to the windshield wiper part you can use the straight peice witch is exactly what I'm doing and it is going good so far.

that other guy with the blue silicone hoses needs to get some 3" ID ones back on ebay =\ the home depot rubber ones are so damn ugly and THICK! i may return them, he did write that if we need custom sizes he can hold a private auction for you... dunno if they come with the tightening screw things, im not sure what they're called...

either way this is going to be a real fun project.

Yah just contact him and ask. They dont come with hose clamps, but you can buy those seperately at home depot or any hardware store.

The air pump is not necessary, it is simply an emissions pump. The air pump injects air from the intake into the CAT to help burn off harmfull gasses (hydro carbons). Without the air pump, the exhaust is letting out these gasses that would normally be burned off with the air pump. . My friend and I both have our air pumps removed and our cars run fine.

If you have the stock cats, you need the airpump. They will clog without it. Might be instant, might take some time. Some aftermarket cats don't need the airpump.

There is a TID (Turbo Inlet Duct) write-up on www.teamfc3s.org. go to 'forums' then go to 'turbo cars' it is a sticky . . . there are a few minor mistakes in the write-up though. The turbo inlet is about 2.5 in., not 2 like it says.
