Custom Intake
I want to get a some extra power for cheap and I wanted to know what a good intake mod would be to do. Should I take out the air box and run a filter directly to the throttle body and what else could I do, I have a 1987 GXL? Any suggestions/help is appreciated.

well you can't run a filter directly to the throttle body. you need the AFM in there or the ECU will make your car run like crap (unless you have an aftermarket programmable ECU). cheapest/most popular thing to do is use a K&N cone filter with an adapter to make it fit your AFM.

did you do a full tune up with new sparkplugs/cables, fluids, belts, filters first???
You'd be surprised how much better the car will run with everything tuned up to factory specs and operating correctly

Dude let me know if you find a good intake source. I got a gsl-se and its slow. I think I need to rebuild it but im looking at doing a turbo mod and I want an intake I can add a megasquirt package to. Lots of luck
