89 motor into a 90 gtu....

89 motor into a 90 gtu....

i have this 90 gtu with a blown motor and a 89 good motor sittin at the shop....what should i do to make it as good as a good 90 motor?? im in desperate need of a motor so im gonna put it in my car but i just wanted some advice....

89 NA motor and 90 NA motor are the same motor.

The motors should be exactly the same. I dont think you have to have anything done unless you want to have it rebuilt and ported, but this is assuming the 89 motor is in good condition.
You will also want to read the stickies at the top of the page for other basic info and search for anything else you would want to know.
